Google input tool is no longer available for download or install. You can download and install Google input tools chrome extension as an alternative. You can also check with Google support for the same and also provide your feedback to Google.

To be able to type text in Kannada, I suggest you to add the Kannada language in Region & language settings and set the Kannada language to default. Adding an input language enables you to set a language-preference order for websites and apps, as well as change your keyboard language. Refer the following link to add and switch input and display language.

Thank you Sandeep for your suggestion. But I tried to add kannada language in Region & language, it is not user friendly as like google input method .please suggest any other method.

If you are unable to install Google input tools chrome extensionas an alternative, I suggest you to use your favorite search engine to search for alternative application to type in Kannada language.
